If you read my sisters blog, 'in my jammies', you saw these same horses. We made a run to Rapid City to buy more retaining wall blocks. Man... they sure set things out for Fathers Day. As we drove into Lowe's driveway, they had at least a zillion grills and riding mowers out front.

We stopped at the fairgrounds first to watch the dressage horses. They are so beautiful! Think of the hours spent schooling the horses.

It makes me miss my horses. Of course I am now too old to ride and my knee is shot. Oh well, I will just continue to ooh and ah over other peoples beauties.

The Belle River overflowed its banks [as well as Hay Creek, Red Water, Willow Creek, and Spearfish Creek] This first picture is along the Belle River. Bridge and street closed. Other streets were closed too. A lot of Butte County roads were closed for the duration and one bridge washed away.

This is a railroad bridge with logs caught against the pilings.

How would you like go camping here?

This is part of the campground. The bottom one is Spearfish Creek.
