Christmas 09

I sewed about 20 aprons for Christmas presents. My family doesn't read my blog so am safe to put a picture here. [At least my sons don't, Mary's kids might] These four go to Jay and his family. I also made the required springerli and Swedish sunflower seed cookies.

I am flying to California to be with sis and her family. [see link to Prairie Home] I am looking forward to spending time with them. ... and to being warm!

It has been an interesting year. Sis and I spent 2 weeks across the pond. Everyone in England was so nice. The countryside was beautiful! Gorse was in bloom all over. We traveled from place to place by train. We did take the 'red bus tour' in Paris and in London, but jumped off to see the sites on our own. We spent two and a half days in Port Isaac. We chose to go there because we watch Doc Martin. They were filming while we were there so got to see some of the cast... and I got three autographs. Very nice people.

The top picture is Brewed Awakenings. Robin took over the coffee shop and it is doing well. Very cosy place with great food and coffee.
